Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. Helsinki is a very safe and walkable city and although it was cold, getting around was no problem. The people are very friendly and a credit to their city. Lots to see and do. Trams everywhere if you need them. Big wide streets and shopping centres that are really bright and clean. Overall I would highly recommend a visit, three days at least.

Interesting city , nice to visit in the summer with lots of sightseeing. Especially for those who like walks by the sea or taking a trip with a boat. There are issues with renovation which happen all over the city during the summer but hopefully you can avoid them. Public transport is great, people know english very well, eating is quite expensive by average European standards but with the right schedule maybe you can manage. Make sure to visit Tallin and Porvoo as well

Perfect destination to get acquainted with the famous Finnιsh culture, style and design. A walkable downtown and a very convenient way to move by the extremely accurate and clean public means of transport. Happy people loving outdoor activities, socializing throughout the long summer evenings at pubs and cafes, Perfect English spoken anywhere. Unforgettable coffee experience for coffee lovers in numerous famous brand shops. We loved especially "Johan & Nyström" in Kanavaranta district. Very good Finnish beers at Public Corners and Molly Malone's.

I was so lucky with the weather.
I was so lucky with the weather. The city center is small so you can walk around. Especially, I liked the Helsinki Catedral and the Orthodox church.
Don't forget to visit SUOMENLINNA island.
I also had delicious coffee and Cafe Enchante. You can stop by there and have their specialty coffee.

I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe.
I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe. Getting round was so easy with the public transport. I found it easier to get Finnish food at the markets, there was a range of restaurants, but many were foreign. Suomenlinna was so worth the visit. I got a 24 hour ABC ticket from the Airport and this covered my travel to the city by train, ferry to Suomenlinna the next day and various journeys on trams and metro for 24 hours. Brilliant value. Also pensioner rates are good.

We loved the library and the Music Centre and a wonderful coffee place called 'Roberts coffee' in the centre.
It felt very safe and had interesting buildings to walk around.
For me it was so bitterly cold and snowed twice - in April - and although I like snow I didn't enjoy the ice the following days. I need to travel to somewhere warm!
Food - OK; expensive.
Very handy location, 10 mins from citycentre by tram, 15 by foot, in a leafy part of town. Right nect to the beautiful Töölö bay, next to Opera House. Tons of really good restaurants in the area, almost better selection than city center that has a lot of fast food or expensive places. Hotel has beautiful decor. I got my favourite room second time: awesome view over the bay. Rooms are spacious, very well cleaned, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Very quiet. This hotel is on my ideal Helsinki hotel lust on position 1.
The room was decently sized and well decorated, value for the money you pay. location is amazing as well as you have almost all the central attraction in walking distance. its not right in the middle of the city center but in a 5 minutes walk you can reach the old market hall and estelaesplanadi, kind of an hideaway from the busy streets. its a very small property with limited facilities, but the hotel staff is extremely helpful. breakfast is very limited but good for a quick grab in the morning.
This is a modern, stylish, and spacious apartment close to the city center. Great public transport infrastructure - trams, busses, metro. Direct bus to the airport. A decent supermarket right there. The apartment is in the old beautiful building with a fun old-style elevator. It is very warm in the apartment. Fully equipped modern kitchen. Comfortable bed. The manager of the apartment is always available on the phone.
The room was really cozy, clean and enough in size for me. Breakfast was very nice; I loved it. Hotel staff was really kind and helpful. I stayed in this place because it was close to Helsinki ice rink but I would definitely prefer staying here again. It is just 20 minutes walking distance to city center and the public transport stop is right in front of the hotel. Thank you for everything.
This hotel has a very nice location in the city centre next to a railway station. There are shops, bars, museums nearby so you will have plenty to do. Other good things:
- It's very clean
- WiFi connection is stable
- There's a gym and sauna on-site but I haven't visited it so can't really add anything else
- The overall design is nice
- Pretty solid security
The accommodations provided by the room were overall satisfactory, with cleanliness and essential amenities being the highlights. The hotel's location proved convenient, being in close proximity to both the city center and various modes of transportation. As for breakfast, I can't provide an assessment since I didn't avail myself of this service during my stay.
There was an up to 2h free parking on the side of the road in front of the hotel, and it was free all night, it saved us. The parkings are not cheap in Helsinki.
24h grocery shop downstairs.
Typical Finnish apartment, soundproof and well ventilated. The third bed is in a little tiny space separated by a sliding door.
Blackout curtains.
Breakfast had a wide selection and food quality in general in the bistro was high and delicious. Room was great, bed and bath were perfect. We even got a couple hours of free parking after our stay 🙂
The hotel is within walking distance of the city center. And there is a lot of places to visit nearby.
Friendly, efficient service; tasty breakfast; a confortable room, with a fair area (4 beds in our case); and a really nice location, in the city center. Arthur surpasses the expectations for a 3 star hotel, we will definitely book this hotel again if we return to Helsinki.
This property was selected by the event's organizer, and for my surprise it is very well located in the city center of Helsinki and by the rail station. The room was beautiful and had an incredible view to the square in front of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable.
Friendly, professional staff. A clean and conveniently located, city center hotel. Tram station and taxi ranks in front of the hotel. Convenience store and fast food close by. Walking distance to bus and train stations, shops, museum, etc.
An excellent hotel in the heart of Helsinki. Very closed to the train station (access to the Airport) and all the publics transports around the city center.
We had plenty of shops around and were very closed to the harbour as well.
A well-located hotel with functional amenities, conveniently situated near a shopping mall and public transportation. Only a 30-minute commute from the city center, making it an excellent choice for those attending Slush.
Convenient city centre location. Walking distance to train station. Taxi rank and tram in front of the hotel. Restaraunts and park within walking distance. Very well cleaned room. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice little gym.
Clean and comfortable hotel in the city center. I attended a gig in the Culture House, and the tram stop located very conveniently just in front of the hotel. Quiet and spacious room. The breakfast was very good too.
This is simply the best and most luxurious hotel in Finland.
Perfect location in the absolute city center of Helsinki.
Relatively good value for money due to low bookings and corona situation August 2021.
Not the newest hotel, but good central location when moving in the city center by foot, next to train station, modern museum and wonderful Oodi (Helsinki Central Library).
The hotel has a very good location in Helsinki city centre. The room was nice and clean, staff was helpful. After checkout we could store our luggage there in the lockers.
Hotel is 20 min away from city center by walk. Room is quite old fashion. There was no slipper in the room, you have to pay for that, that was strange for me.
