This hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the train station which was really great. It was nice and clean, safe for a solo traveller, and also a handy walking distance location from the castle and a couple of other nice walking locations. The breakfast choices were good and the 12noon check-out time was very welcome!

Everything I would imagine from my winter stay in Finland. Wonderful landscape, quiet, picturesque, saunas by the lake, wooden cabins, woodland. I will definitely come back and in fact cannot wait to come back. Staff were so friendly even though it was so cold and they did not have many other guests. Great memories from this place. I’m glad I stayed there. Thank you

Beautiful city, marketing is not working, should have more event advertising.
Will not stay at the Spa Hotel Casino.
Ate at the Muikkuterassi at the rooftop of Sokos hotel at the center market area . Also ate at Ravintola Majakka. Would recommend both places.
Nice walking town.

Savonlinna is so beautiful town.
Savonlinna is so beautiful town. Mainly the castle and the museum are both worth a visit, also a walk around the wooded islands and the town, during which it is worth a visit and refreshments at Cafe Saima, very delicious food.

Beautiful (and crowded) castle, possibilities of cruises on the lake and some nice restaurants. Great market in the mornings. A town for a couple of days, not more (unless you are here for the opera festival).

We had a incident there with poorly managed covid restrictions in upscale pizzeria in centrum. They didn't care social distancing and when we went to say about that, local covid denials launch yelling and swearing show. That ruined our evening and somebody might even say that its not worth to go back there. At least to that pizzeria that is.

Savonlinna pleasantly surprised me.
Savonlinna pleasantly surprised me. It felt like a bigger city and had a lot of good restaurants and shops. Olavinlinna Castle is a must see, and only a short walk from the shore (where you can park). Close by Olavinlinna, you can find shops and restaurants in abundance.
We stayed at Casino Spa and for once, there's an effective air conditioning available at a Finnish hotel. Finland as a whole still thinks our summers are not hot enough to warrant AC, but they're slowly but surely getting there.

Visit Olavinlinna is must.
Visit Olavinlinna is must. I recommend to go to Linnankatu-the old town. People are friendly. Town is very nice place surrounded by water. Also recommend hiking around Olavinlinna, it offer great view of the castle.
My visit was followed by rain, that was reason not to go and see seals!!!
- We stayed in the Apartment with a small pet for 2 nights. The Apartment room was spacious (more than it looks in the photos), with a separate entrance which was perfect when you travel with a dog.
- The bed was very comfortable and big.
- The hotel is located just a step away from the nature, you can go and enjoy the walks around 2-3km island.
- The staff was very helpful and friendly! They gave us a treat for our dog, it was very nice of them. Thank you! :)
Absolutely one of the best little places I've stayed anywhere! It's a cosy little place with only a couple of rooms which open up to a lawn with an amazing view of the castle and the lake. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed getting to chat with her after breakfast and learning more about the area. It was more akin to being a welcomed guest in someone's home rather than just a customer as a hotel. I would absolutely stay there again!
A very lovely flat in a great location. Easy access to the main points of interest (i.e town centre, train station, bus stations, nature, food stores). Pet-friendly (my dog got a special welcome). Warm flat, comfortable bed, kitchen has all amenities, blackout curtains in the bedroom, easy communication with the hosts. What else to wish for. Definitely a place we would come back to stay in if we go to Savonlinna again!
The hotel is an amazingly decorated old building that features an amazing view of a lake. The Olavinlinna Castle and Ship Harbour Museum are only 2 minutes away on foot. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of food and beverages. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had all the needed items (e.g. toothbrush kit, comb, soap, shampoo, etc.)
If you want to live the experience to stay at a farm in Finland this is the right place to go!
The people were really super friendly and helpful. They are open to advise on any possible activities in the area (ice fishing etc.). We couldn’t have been happier.
Everything was very clean and for 10€ you can use a real traditional Finnish sauna which is fired with wood.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent.
The area was beautiful with access to the beach, and a walk in the forest. It was in a beautiful setting and very quiet. There was a Koda, actually 2 since there was one near the tower as well, which were great.
The beds were comfortable.
Cute b&b, which used to be an old train station. We had room 1, which was very large with A/C. Dog friendly place. Great breakfast
. We stayed here during the opera festival and their room rates were excellent compared to hotels. Took a bicycle taxi to the castle and it was about 10 minute ride away.
One of the nicest places we stayed in Finland, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Frindly and helpful family.
A really cool lakefront sauna was available (for a small reasonable fee), which we sadly didn't use.
The property is clean, and beautifully appointed. Very quiet.
The staff were very kind and helpful, especially given the dire state of the hotel and the hard job they had to do. They did everything they could, I can only speak positively about these poor hard working people in the impossible situation of such a poorly maintained hotel.
Amazing place, I wouldn't hesitate to book my stay here were I to come back to Savonlinna.
Friendly owners, great location and all the amenities you could wish for.
Great price-quality offer, especially in Finland where everything tends to be very expensive.
Very good location in the heart of Savonlinna. Clean and fresh, good communication. Everything went well. I was very satisfied with this accommodation, was nice to visit. Thank you!
Great apartment, fantastic sauna, great piece of land/garden nearby a lake and within 10 minute walk of the train station and the main center of the town.
Very quiet, excellent breakfast, rooms are brand new and very cosy. Exactly what we wanted for our trip to Finland! Top location on the shore of a lake
