Located on Snæfellsnes peninsula, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi access. Stykkishólmur town centre is a 25-minute drive away. I decided to book this place because there is out of town and finally saw the aurora just open the room door!

Luxury beds and power showers are offered at Hótel Egilsen. Baldur Ferry Terminal and boats to the West Fjords and Flatey island are 300 metres away. Wi-Fi is free. Perfect experience! The cute traditional-yet newly renovated and very comfortable hotel is located in the beautiful old port. People working there were super nice and provided us with great recommendations. Nice breakfast :)

One of the better hotels we encountered in iceland that had a great value for money. Great location, kind staff and very good breakfast. Nice views from the room.

Helgrindur Guesthouse offers accommodation in Grundarfjordur. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Each room is equipped with a free WiFi. The room was very spacious and felt like being at home a nice way to properly relax on holidays, the beds were comfortable and the facilities especially kitchen were great. We had a good view of the mountain from our room and the communal balcony. Location is great if you want to photograph the area, we were chasing the northern lights and could quickly pop in and out as the weather changed.

Located in the country side, Hotel Stundarfridur offers accommodation 12 km from Stykkishólmur. This property provides guests with a terrace. There is also a restaurant and a shared lounge. This place is amazing! The staff is very friendly and professional, the dinner was also very good

The location is stunning, right on the start of the Arnarstapi coastal walk. The room is beautiful with a great shower and views of the mountain (and if you're lucky, a prime seat to the northern lights). The hotel has a small restaurant with lovely staff, they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Situated by the sea in the fishing village of Stykkisholmur, Hotel Stykkisholmur offers free Wi-Fi and brightly decorated rooms with a TV. Stykkisholms Golf Club is 100 metres away. We stayed in a suite, there was a private living and dinning room with a half bath and the bed room with a full bathroom off of it. There was a huge jacuzzi (4 people at least) and one of the largest showers I was ever in. The lighting is all adjustable (dimmable). The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good.
