Located on a lake,within a forest. Hot tubs next to the lake with sunset views. Very good service,breakfast and dinner.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. We reached this hotel in the evening, after hours on road it was our safe and comfortable place. Thanks a lot to reception guy (we forgot to ask the name), he was really nice and gave us some advises about visiting places around, also shout out to Austėja, thanks for recomendations, we saved a lot of time during next day trip to Reykavik. One more thing to mention, this hotel will stay in my memory for the all life, as the first Nothern light was captured here! Breakfast was perfect! Best regards from griup of lithuanians! 💚

Nice modern hotel for a good price, a rarity in Iceland! We've paid more for hostels with a shared bathroom. Here we had a clean room with private bathroom, complementary coffee and tea, and a great view to top it off :-) Definitely try the Pakhús restaurant nearby: great langoustines and lamb! We walked toward the minigolf at midnight to see the northern lights and had a great night's sleep afterwards.

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. The room was today and clean. Location was just outside of the main town to easy to travel in for food etc. Breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice and lots of homemade / local items. The staff were very friendly and informative as we were stuck in a storm due to road closures.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. Location was great. The hotel is run by a family. During our stay an orange alert was announced due to bad weather conditions. We were stuck in the hotel and the family was so kind they gave all the information for choosing a safe travel plan and they let us stay almost till the end of the day. Food was exceptional and fabulous... Thank you Ms Pirna for your support...

Hotel Stadarborg terletak di Lembah Breiddalur, di sebelah Jalan 1 dan kurang dari 1 jam berkendara dari Egilsstadir. Very nice hotel close to the ring road. The host is really nice，helped us cleaning the car window after the snowstorm！And there is a piano in the common area. Also great view from the room’s window.

Lokasi Hotel Skaftafell yang menakjubkan menyediakan pemandangan gunung tertinggi Islandia yang memesona, Hvannadalshnjukur, dan gletser terbesar di Eropa, Vatnajökull. We could register to be woken if the northern lights appeared and they allowed us to have breakfast early . Dinner was delicious

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. This is the BEST hotel we stayed at during our 10 day road trip. The customer service is exceptional. We arrived after midnight and there was a sign stuck on the door for us to call to have the door opened for us. The gentleman who greeted us at this late hour was truly exceptional . He assisted us in every way he could to try to help us settle in easily and comfortably. The breakfast is of the highest standard. lots of delicious options to choose from. The rooms were spotless and the bed was comfy. After checking out we returned to the hotel for a quick stop as it was along our route and the young lady at the front desk was amazing yet again, getting us hot water for our coffee cups and allowing us the use of the restrooms. This is truly a beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities. Wish i had checked in to this hotel earlier to be able to enjoy the clean facilities a bit more.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Lovely hotel for when you are driving round Iceland. Staff are exceptional from reception to barman to restaurant staff. Friendly, open warm and generous. Staff really make a property and the staff here were no exception. Worth staying if you need a clean well appointed good value for money stay
