We stayed there on our way to Levi and back. Overall comfy and warm rooms, nice price performance. Kind and helpful receptionists. 9/10 would stay again, and definiteley would recommend staying there.

Finlandia Hotel Alba is situated by Lake Jyväsjärvi in Mattilanniemi, just 1.5 km away from Jyväskylä city centre. It offers free parking and rooms with private bathrooms and TV. its better than in the pictures. very nice view, good staff and tasty breakfast.

We chose this hotel to visit Jyvaskyla - Mattilanniemi Parkrun!! Head across the square and you can get to Parkrun Saturday mornings by lakeside walking/cycling path. This is very convenient location for coach / train travellers, just across the bridge over the railway tracks and you're there! Amazing, we loved it as we arrived late from the airport by train, in -12 temperatures. We booked a double with SAUNA (absolute bliss) and next room for teenage kids. This wasn't the cheapest option, but it was truly wonderful. The rooms were clean and stylish, and the sauna room had coffee maker and some complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar. The sauna is easy to use and surprisingly large :D The breakfast was served until 12 noon on a Saturday morning, which was perfect after parkrun!! The breakfast is amazing, with lots of sweet bakes and all the usual savoury options, like Karelia pies, eggs, bacon, sausages, etc, but they also serves some special extras like smoked salmon, and Finnish seasonal delicacies as it was xmas vacation; we enjoyed riisipuuro (rice pudding) and joulutorttu (xmas pastries). Cannot wait to be back soon!

This privately-owned hotel is situated 400 metres from Jyväskylä Train Station and is 18 minutes’ walk from Alvar Aalto Museum. It features free WiFi, a 24-hour reception and a bookable sauna. There was enough to eat at breakfast and everything was fresh. Location was central and it was easy to find parking place near the frontdoor.

This hotel, located in scenic natural surroundings, is 5 minutes’ drive from Jyväskylä’s town centre. It features a bowling alley and a large spa centre with views of Lake Tuomiojärvi. very good and child-friendly hotel. Very nice SPA, very good saunas and pools with very warm water. Our best experience with a Finnish hotel on this trip (5 days and 4 different hotels) I will gladly come back next time. P.S. very tasty breakfast.
