A trip to Kruger is a lifetime experience, and staying at Jock was definitely the cherry on top. If you're reading this and thinking of booking, then do it! You really won't regret it. The staff could not do more for you, you only had to think about another glass of wine and one was put in front of you. My gosh, do they love to feed you too, if it's not breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there is a morning or afternoon snack on the go. Definitely expect to eat your fill here! The rooms themselves are slightly on the small side, but this is more than accounted for in the outside space. A real must is a night outside on the daybed, I tried this (the other half wasn't brave enough), and it was an experience in itself. Our ranger Micha was absolutely incredible. What a true asset to the team at Jock he was. He had a way of ensuring we were in the right spot at the right time to see some of the most amazing widelife sightings you can imagine. His cheeky sense of humour had us on our toes, too, with him clearly enjoying winding us up with his "facts", he was just amazing. The little extras during the game drives, such as indulging in a rangers special (hot chocolate with Amarula) in some of the most spectacular landscapes are also memories to be forever cherished. Nothing is overlooked during a stay at Jock. Hopefully one day we will be able to return.
