Fortrose Golf Course is located directly next to the property. What wonderful hosts!  I highly recommend Mended Drum. Guthrie and Horst are world travelers and we engaged in interesting conversations about Scotland's history and many other topics. Such an interesting and gracious couple who treated us like family rather than guests.  Not only did they provide us with a warm, modern and clean room but also the most comfortable bed we have slept in on our month long trip.  The Mended Drum's beautiful gardens enhance the captivating views of the North Sea sunrises. The adjoining golf course is a plus for you golfers. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Guthrie and Horst!

Wonderful view to the des Form the very comfortable room, immediately at the beach, lovely breakfast. We saw dolphins and one seal and osprey - big recommendation . Very nice restaurant: Crofters immediately there, wonderful hikes at the des and up a nice river.

The bed was an amazingly comfortable King Size and we had a great sleep.
