Only a ten-fifteen walk from the station - don’t get confused with another Daiwa Roynet right next to the station like I did!
Room was quiet and comfortable, it was just a one night stay on the way from Tokyo to Sapporo so it did its job.

This Dormy Inn is more than the basic business hotel. You have the usual clean (for one person in even quite spacious) room, but on top of that there is so much more. You have the rooftop onsen, after which you get an ice cream, and there are free ramen if you feel like a midnight snack.

We stopped in Morioka on the way to Niseko. It is a small Japanese city with stunning views of Mt Iwate. Our main purpose was to visit friends, so we didn't do much touring, but Morioka is a lovely smaller city, very walkable, with an active city centre of restaurants and many interesting temples. It almost feels like a mini Kyoto while driving around. We enjoyed Wanko Soba, which is famous in Morioka.

I go to Morioka every month or two, while it's a city it doesn't have the crowded or bustling feel. You're also close to nature. The botanical gardens and lake are a short drive as well as Mt. Iwate for climbing. Morioka is also a go-to for Wanko Soba. I've never had a bad meal in Morioka. Overall, Morioka is a good vertical slice of Tohoku and different from the image of Tokyo that saturates people's view of Japan.

We did not spend day time at the city only night time. We were at the ski resort during the day and Morioka is well located to visit the nearby ski resort. Love the drive from Morioka to the country side. People in the restaurant were friendly although very little English was spoken. It feels very authentic for tourists as it is a very down to earth city.

The Castle park and the small river flowing next to the park was really nice. Also the temple district at the north was worth to a visit. Dendenmushi circling the town is convient to visit all city attractions. One day pass is quite economical to be used. The city can also be seen by walking for people with enough time.
I had one day in Morioka with an additional side trip to Hiraizumi. I think the time was sufficient. For people that may eant to enjoy more the downtown area and shopping an additional one day could be useful.
I wish I had more time to try the soba noodles of Morioka.

Morioka is a very nice city with several interesting sights, which can be easily reached on foot. I also loved the 3 local noodle dishes.
It is also a good place as a base for side trips, e.g. to lake Tazawa.

It’s a good transport hub for other tourist sites in the area. Not much to do in and of itself, but a good place to sleep, get some good food, and karaoke a bit before driving out to Hiraizumi or Jodogahama.
This place is luxury personified. The hotel is stunning. Very Japanese. The baths are amazing. We had one in our room that was fantastic. The food was beyond description. The best part was the young woman who took care of us. She was delightful, funny, attentive, so patient with our Japanese failures (many), our food tastes. We laughed a lot. She was beyond exceptional. We walked around the area which was also fun.
A traditional old Japanese getaway. I was personally received at the bus stop and escorted all the way to my room. I received a high floor room with an incredible view.
You will get the best experience but be prepared with the Japanese etiquette. English is available but basic Japanese can make life easier.
The Onsen water is unique and has a distinctive smell. It is very big with indoor and beautiful outdoor area.
The hotel is 15-minute walk from Morioka Station, but I'm so glad I chose this hotel. From Morioka Station, you should go to the north exit. To get to the hotel, you will go over a bridge, across Kitakami river, and the scenery is just spectacular. The area is very central with a lot of restaurants and shops. The room size is good compared to other hotels in Japan. I love breakfast here too.
The hotel is so close to the train station, saving us a lot of time travelling around. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices to select from. Our room is comfy and quiet, we had good nights of sleep and rest after a long day discovering the surrounding area. Many great restaurants and bars nearby. The public bath is a bonus as well. Staffs are very polite and helpful.
Clean and artistic design. Room placement might not feel like conventional hotel due to building limits, but every necessity is equipped, so it’s just a matter of getting used to it.
Really like them placing a speaker inside the room for playing music.
Front desk is helpful and friendly, just don’t hesitate to get in touch in case of anything.
There is a great view over Morioka and the surrounding mountains from the breakfast. The buffet was great - all the usual nice things in a Japanese breakfast, plus there was even tempura and a station doing mini roast beef in little dishes! Also, the staff at the desk spoke English, which I don't expect in Japan but was a pleasant surprise.
We love everything about this Hotel. The place, the food, thechotspring onsen, and especially the staff. They were so attentive, very polite, and service minded. The service here is as good as 5-star hotel. The japanese dinner was great. We had a really wonderful stay 👍😄. Highly recommended!
Morioka is a nice, quiet city and Tototo is in a lovely peaceful neighborhood. Dela-san, the owner is very friendly and helpful with information about the area. The Sunday dinner and Monday morning walk were both among some of my favorite highlights of my trip to Japan so far.
Newly renovated hotel. They thought of all modcons for the stylishly designed rooms. Loved all the little touches from placements of electrical outlets, charging ports, amenities. Seems Daiwa Roynet hotels are my new favorite hotel chain.
Hotel was far from the train station but easy to get to if you are driving or don’t mind walking 15 minutes.
Room was large with a large size unit bath/bathroom. Beds were soft and comfortable. Rooms had their own heating and cooling.
The location just across the road from JR morioka station. The facilities were great. Breakfast was excellent with reasonable price. Place are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful.
-The location was great; Morioka station within walking distance
-Breakfast buffet was exceptional and tasty
-Room was clean
-Staff friendly and helpful
A clear recommendation!
The hotel is clean, quite comfortable, good food, friendly staff, close to 7 Eleven mini market, laundry equipment available, close to Morioka Station (10 minutes easy walk)
